Thank you so much for celebrating this milestone with us.

The most important thing to us is that you're able to join us in celebrating our wedding.

In lieu of a traditional registry, we've decided to focus on our next milestones and those causes near and dear to our hearts.

Should you wish to honor us with a gift, please visit the links below.

Our Milestone Fund *

Following the wedding, grad school finals, and the Bar exam - we are really looking forward to enjoying our honeymoon and then finding and moving into our future home in Pittsburgh.

Your thoughtful contribution towards our future milestones will help us achieve our goals and dreams and create unforgettable memories as we begin this new chapter of our lives together.

Please note – a traditional card box will also be present at our reception for those who would prefer to contribute to Our Milestone Fund in that manner.

A portion of our Milestone Fund will be donated to two charities very near and dear to our hearts.

To learn more about both and/or to provide a donation directly to one or both of the charities, please visit the links below.

Donating directly is recommended if you would like to receive a receipt.

Her Charity

The Extra Mile Foundation

Kelly’s grandfather, the late John Marous Jr., co-founded The Extra Mile Foundation in 1990. An indication of John’s devotion to his hometown of Pittsburgh, The Extra Mile supports urban Catholic elementary schools in danger of closure and subsidizes K-8 tuition for low-income students. During John’s tenure as co-chair, The Extra Mile had raised $44 million.

John—also lovingly known as “Pa”—is one of Kelly’s biggest role models. In fact, Pa’s standards of excellence are framed on Kelly’s desk to serve as a daily reminder to make Pa proud. Growing up, Kelly heard countless stories about Pa’s selflessness, his grit, and how his five standards of excellence—pride, desire, teamwork, attention to detail, and follow-through—inspired and encouraged a wealth of people with whom Pa worked. Pa would often spoil his grandchildren, always stocking the fridge full with soda (a real treat for Kelly and her siblings), taking grandchildren out for rides on the mule with his dog Mulligan, and, together with his wife Lucine, introducing Kelly and her siblings to new experiences, from the Rockettes at Radio City to summer camp in Ligonier, PA.

We will be donating a portion of our Milestone Fund to The Extra Mile in honor of Pa. Thank you to all who choose to join us in honoring Kelly’s late grandfather.

His Charity

The Akron Children’s Foundation

Jeremy was born in late September of 1993 in Akron, Ohio.

He arrived in the world with respiratory difficulty.  Jeremy was a NICU baby at Akron Children’s Hospital and was discharged after 28 days.  He returned to Akron Children's at age 7 months with RSV (a severe respiratory virus) and spent a week there.  At age 14 months, Jeremy was diagnosed with Bacterial Spinal Meningitis and was a patient in the PICU.  After 2 weeks, he was able to go home.

That concludes Jeremy discussing his medical history on the website for our wedding.

Jeremy has immense gratitude for the resilience, comfort, and determination of his family.

He feels that it is his family and the work of his pediatrician, Dr. Beth Marcinkoski, and the staff at Akron Children’s that were integral in ensuring that he would be here today.

Reflecting back on that experience and the journey since then, we recognize how fortunate we are to have a celebration such as ours this Fall.

That is why, to further express our gratitude, we would like to donate to Akron Children’s and their foundation to help them provide for all of those families coming through their doors.

With this method, please select “Hide my donation amount from the public.”

If you’re comfortable, please do not select “make my donation anonymous” as it will be private and anonymous to Jeremy + Kelly as well.
